We are excited to announce that Nuvoda has a presentation during the Monday Technical Session, “Optimizing Secondary Clarifier Performance Using SPA, Data-Driven Modeling, and Intensification Approaches.”

Most intensification technologies rely on biological selection to form dense granules, which means anaerobic selector zones (like AGS or densification via gravimetric selection) are a must. That’s a dealbreaker for many retrofits. Our Mobile Organic Biofilm (MOB) Process can skip the selector entirely because an organic carrier (BioKarrier™) jump-starts dense biofilm formation instead.

At a full-scale demonstration site, this meant completely nitrifying through winter, SVIs down to 60 mL/g, and unlocking double the clarifier capacity, all without an anaerobic selector.
