Why Proper Sample Handling Matters
To ensure accurate microscopy results, samples must arrive at the Nuvoda Laboratory in stable condition. This procedure minimizes biological degradation to preserve sample integrity for accurate analysis and ensures your RAS or MLSS samples are ready for evaluation.
What You’ll Need:
- Insulated shipping vessel (thermal box, insulated foam kit, small cooler, lunch box, etc.)
- Ice gel packs (Do not use ice — it melts, leaks, and is unsafe for postal shipment.)
- Plastic sample containers ≥ 1 L
How to Prepare Your Sample:
1. Collect the Sample
Follow the guidance in MLSS Sample Collection for Nuvoda Lab Analysis to collect your sample.
2. Package the Sample
To ensure safe transit:
- Place the sample bottle(s) and ice gel pack(s) inside the insulated vessel
- Tape the sample bottle(s) closed to prevent loosening
- Tape the insulated vessel securely shut
3. Shipping Instructions

Before Sending:
- Use no more than 2‑day delivery
- Ship early in the week to avoid weekend delays
- Email the tracking number to Nuvoda once shipped
